I think there are other factors at play here. For example, the problem of visibility and targeted audience is not to be underestimated. In other words, just getting yourself seen in all the stuff out there can be a big issue.

It may be, in part, a self-esteem issue. Creators and artists of any sort are known to struggle with this unless they receive constant acknowledgement.

Also, a pro tip: consider including a picture at the top of your post. It shows up as a thumbnail in the New feed and makes your posts more attractive and visible. Try Pexels.com for some free stock photos, or just Google "free stock photos".
