Hey I just wanted to share how to change your profile pic in case you did not know how!
First find your picture online and right click.
Then you will click on Settings.
After that you will paste that link in your Profile Picture URL

Sometimes this doesn't work unfortunately . I have tired this. I've actually had to put into dropbox and then use dropbox's link creator on their affiliated site to get to appear on my steemit account.
I am still trying to get my dtube and steemit profile pictures to link. My profile pic shows up on my steemit account, but not on my dtube account. I'm still having problems. lol

Great post! I see comments from people using links away from steemit, and that is great if you already have an image hosted elsewhere that you want to use.
If you want steemit to host the image, first make a post here on steemit with an image, and publish the post. Then copy the image link as described above.

I uploaded my image to imgur.com hours ago, and linked to the address provided for that image, and it still has not posted. (https://imgur.com/a/32mz6) The image is only about 50kb so that should not be the issue. Maybe imgur.com will not work as an upload location. I also went to imgsafe.org and the site did not load the upload button, on either Chrome or Firefox. Maybe I should try the Youtube link suggestion.
