January is coming, and, as in years past, I'll be doing a project. The 2021 version may be an adventure into retro coding that I alluded to as the pandemic was starting.
A second idea may have a practical purpose and is based on an issue I deal with at work. I am now working for a company that provides software to health clubs. I am on what a lot of folks would call an afternoon shift, 2pm to 11pm US Central Time. A lot of the calls I get later in the evening are members who need the doors opened. Why not have a way that members could send a text message and open the door. I have access to Twilio and I would just need to learn enough to develop a prototype front end, the matter of integrating it with the back end would be up to the company's developers.
