According to latest IEEE spectrum ranking here is the list of top 25 trending programming languages which you need to learn in 2017.

Here I cover only 8 languages but in chart their is the full description of 25 programming languages

1.Python :

Undoubtedly, Python is one of the most popular programming language and that’s why it grabbed top position in the list. Basically, It is the high-level programming language used for general purpose programming.

In comparison to C or C++, the syntax of Python is much easier and allows programmers to express the complex concept in fewer lines of codes. In this, there is no need to declare a type of arguments and data variable which saves time and makes code shorter.

2. C:

I am pretty sure, most of you already familiar with C coding because it is the first programming language we learn in our school days. C is an imperative procedural language that supports structured programming.

3. Java:

Java was developed by Sun Micro System in 1995, it is generally used for the web and Android app development. According to me, Java is one of the best coding languages for beginners to learn. The best thing is that java is platform independent and works on the principle of object-oriented paradigm (class-based programming).

4. C++

C++ was developed to enhance the functionalities of C language, it introduces the concept of object oriented programming (oop’s) in addition to structured programming. Basically c++ is used to develop games , graphic user interface (GUI) based applicatoion , database software , operating system etc.

5. C#

C # was developed by Microsoft in 2000 , it is also based on the principle of objected oriented programming and used for application and web development , C# commonly spelled as C sharp .In terms of functionalities it is more better than c/c++ and that’s why nowadays it is very popular among programmers.

6. R

R was designed by “Ross Ihaka” and “Robert Gentleman” in 1993, According to Wikipedia “R is an open source programming language which is widely used among statisticians and data miners for developing statistical software and data analysis.

So, if you want to learn data science or statistical computing then “R” is the best choice for you because in recent years its popularity is consistently increasing.

7. Javascript:

Do you want to become a web developer?

If yes then Javascript is the most important client-side scripting language which you need to learn, It is generally used by the web browser to enhance the user experience.

So without wasting more time go and learn Javascript from some popular educational websites such as Udemy, Udacity, and W3schools.

8. PHP:

PHP is another top contender in the list, created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994. It is server side scripting language generally used for web designing and development. It can be easily embedded with HTML program. In comparison with ASP( Active server pages) and Java, PHP is most widely used programming language used for developing dynamic web pages

This is really interesting. Pyton is at the top? I am not a programmer but I always thought that java and HTML were up higher than they were! So if these are the best ones to learn, which ones would you say are geared towards being slightly easier for newbies to learn? or at least start to play around with...
