This is an article I wrote on the Zero-K wiki that will tell you how to optimize your graphics software. You will probably need to do it if you want to utilize a newer graphics card such as an RX480 to it's fullest potential to play a graphically demanding game. If you don't your games will will throw an error or run slower than they should.
