What you should know before starting to learn programming language

in programming •  8 years ago

Hi everybody, how are you? Today I will post about what you should know before learning a programming language and maybe this will help in your journey and make this simpler.

Programming is about logic. Yeah it has math and physics , but you can learn while you study your language.

Try to make exercises that work logic skills, even thinking step by step how you open a door. Yeah yeah its seems weird lol,but the more you see the steps in detail, the more you exercise your mind

If you try to learn programming logic first, you will do a big step and make everything more easier

Make exercises, this really important because it will help you to fix it in your mind

You don’t need be the best on math or physics but i really like the idea of trying to be better than you are and study hard

Don’t be sad,mad or any bad felling if you don’t get to finish a exercises. Take a breath and relax, put this on paper and try without to push yourself or you can just go to another and try to solve, the world will not end and you can come back with better thoughts. Its ok to feel lost

Maybe some programmers can disagree with me, but I think is really good to work on your imagination, try to view something in detail and afterwards put this on paper or computer

If you learn a programming language really well this will make simpler to learn different languages

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoy

Cool, you like do more software stuffs or games?

Thanks for sharing this! I'm definitely fascinated by programming but am yet to dip my feet in that water. Onward and upward!

Nice! I really want to get into coding. I was thinking about solidity. Do you recommend a language that is best to start wityh to really get a good foundation for others later? Or maybe just try the one you want first and see if it sticks? Im guessing crawl before you walk approach, but interested in your thoughts on it.
Followed and upvoted. Feel free to check me out and follow back if interested. Cheers

It depends on what you want to do . If you prefer softwares i suggest Java, because its the most popular language and really pays well in some countries. If you want to do web learn javascript and php. If you want to do games, C# because of Unity engine . And if you want something easier, learn python,
It's less complicated then others. But I suggest before you learn any language , to learn programming logic, this will make it easier .Im thinking about starting post about some languages here. Let me know what you think, maybe i will start with the one you choose, or even programming logic

Thanks @pigomes this is a great response. I was actually just looking into to Python. I think this will be where I start to get more comfortable/familiar with programming logic. Sounds like training my brain to think in this manner will help greatly in learning the various languages. From most people I have talked with, it is very advantageous to be able to work with multiple laguages. Which I must say always made a ton of sense to me. I am going to try and teach myself through youtube and am looking into some game platform that teaches you Python. I was always better at retaining information through gameplay. Cheers!

Python is a good choice and be tranning or logic always, trys programming logic too

@walky123 and @kkugel2 follow this guy, he's cool!!!

nice post. programming is a bit boring in the start but once u know how to do it, then probably the most interesting thing to do...

Yep, many people give up at the beginning because of it, and the logic at first is not the same after, so it can be difficult to some poeple

good post !!

Started programming 2 years ago (C#). Best decision I ever made. And now that I'm doing consulting, I've had to begin to learn several other languages.

Thats cool, now that you know one, will be easier :D
