While my entertainment videos made with Red are perhaps the most popular thing that I've put out there yet, there's still a number of other things I wish I were doing with my social media career. I dedicated myself to working for myself, and I'm gonna pursue it -- but getting mixed up with the political crews in the past really did waylay my efforts and narrow my scope.
Given the long-form blog nature of Steemit, though, I haven't been able to figure out what exactly I could publish here on a regular basis, even though the answer was staring me right in the face.
Programming Tutorials!
It's been a few years since I've programmed regularly, but I've picked up the practice again and I'm rather intent on getting back to where I was, and growing past that -- and in the process, I think I'll have a lot to share. I'm pretty focused on Javascript/ES6 at the moment, but I'm a lover of all languages and paradigms, so it's not like I'll be cornered into only using Javascript. And Red has a number of small projects she'd like to see me make that would help her out, which sets me up with a nice list of projects to begin with.
I know most people use Medium to publish their programming guides, but honestly I'm just done with the old-guard of social media. I've done better on Gab and Steem, and as such on Gab and Steem will I stake my new claims. So be on the lookout; as I figure out new things I'll be making my tutorials here and then making videos for dTube.
