INSPIRING MUSE: New poetry challenge by Milkbox Project
Inspiration is a phenomenon of perception. The ancient Greeks attributed it to divine beings or muses.
Whether it is an empty cup, a leaf that falls off, dances and falls, even vague and fugitive clouds, can be the reason for a visit of the muse.
The ancient Greeks made ceremonies of invocation of the muse. They observed their reality and their environment and, on that basis, they channeled the divine messages. Great works were created from this idea. It was these divine beings, precisely, those who descended to insufflate the creation of the arts in humans. Poetry was a gift that came from one of them.
There are many things that motivate us to write poetry; while some prefer the nocturnal forms, others will tend to the bright colors that the light reveals.
Motivated under these premises, we have devised a new and fun challenge. Would you dare to write a poetic text just by showing you an image? In what way do you invoke the muse and the genius?
We will tell you how easy it is to participate:
Attention🚨! Those are the steps you have to follow. Read them carefully, as well as the rules that will appear later:
:one: The first thing you have to do is to select one of the images that we will propose next. You just have to choose one, the one that you like the most and from which you feel you can write something about.
:two: Make a presentation post. It does not have to be extensive; use the chosen image in your post. Under each image, you can find the free copyright source. Therefore, when you prepare your publication, try to leave the aforementioned link.
:three: The structure and the topic are free. However, we will look more closely at those creations whose lines establish a fairly direct relationship to what is seen in the image but this is not limiting.
:four: Use #projectmilkbox as the first hashtag and #muse as the second one, the others go on your own.
:five: Place the link of your creation in the comments of this publication. The proper use of multimedia resources is mandatory. Please, try to leave duly referred the links that you are going to use (images, lyrics, programs used, websites). If inconsistency is found in the proper handling of references, it may be subject to invalidation within the contest.
:six: Important: reward, with what you estimate "fair", and share this post. So that, other people can be encouraged to participate as well. Invite others to participate, you will also earn in this way. Love is the only thing that, when divided, multiplies.
