Can we get John McAfee on Steem?

John McAfee is casually the most approachable public figure in the World I've ever had the opportunity to interact with. He's got a following of over 1 million and increasing, constantly shills blockchain projects and is actually running for Presidency(of America) or at least claims to be.

I interact with his tweets and he's certainly not shy to indulge in some foulmouthed shithousery and in his defense, he often drops a disclaimer. Every now and then, I interact with his tweets and despite the hordes of responses he usually gets, he actually finds time to respond and even interact with mine.

He always talks about cryptocurrency and the importance of decentralization in general. I've chipped in Steem in a couple of our interactions but nothing too sudden because I'm not trying to spook him.

over 2000 impressions and counting

So I was thinking, how about Steemians active on Twitter follow him, interact with his tweets and do some subtle Steem shilling over there. I think it'll be a good idea, what do you think? here's his official Twitter handle by the way https://twitter.com/officialmcafee

Steem Promotion Activity

Promoting Steem is a collective effort and people like @stephenkendal @theycallmedan @ocd @clixmoney @jaynie @josediccus and others are constantly spreading the word about the platform. If you're on Twitter, please come join the party. All you have to do is include or follow either of #steem, #posh #steemit, and #steempeak tags to meet other Steemians there and keep the conversation flowing.

You can click this link to follow the #Steem tag on Twitter https://twitter.com/search?q=%23STEEM&src=typeahead_click&f=live and interact with many Steemians using the tag for promoting their post and tweets.

The idea is to interact with people without looking conspicuous. Talk about general stuff and make them know that you're not some creep trying to force cryptocurrency down their throat. I also advise sharing Steem posts that are about general topics and then subtly remind people how much the post earned.

My Strategy is to;

  • Interact with tweets related to steem and cryptocurrency as a whole
  • Interact with people promoting their Steem content on Twitter

Great idea :D I bet some steemians could make him interesting. but the emphasis is on subtle ^^
sadly I have no twitter

Oh you can make one for free.

yea Ik - but I don't want :D
I'm not normal - I have no normal social media

Only if he still commits to chopping off his dick.

Did he say he was going to? 😄

@johnmcafee is here,...i think he was mad that nobody squatted his name.

He doesnt interact, if that is him.

It says the page doesn't exist.

Try again.

Okay

hmm

I pushed for that, he wouldn't verify.
Doesn't confirm that it isn't his account.

I like the style you're employing to talk to him because it's better not to spook him like you said, however he's going to be a great addition to steem by all means, all that manpower and all that follower base getting to know about steem through him. It's the kind of promotion that steem actually needs and not the one we see everywhere

Yeah. People are too direct about it and start sounding like spammers and bots. I think it's better to just be friendly with the person.
