Steem Ambassadors on a Map

This is a short report on the geographical location of Steem-Ambassadors and a bit of a shout-out for the next batch of Ambassadors

Covering in this order:

1. Cohort 1 – the First 30 Steem-Ambassador (recap)

Cohort 1

This is the state of play with the first 30 Steem-Ambasadors, shown both on a map and categorised into three principle regions. {For those with anonymous location – they have to belong in “The Ether”!!}

Cohort 2

It’s been a very busy time for @starkerz and @anarcotech, the Founders of Steem-Ambassador. You will have seen they were integral to the successful London Cryptocurrency Show and this inevitably slowed the throughput of Steem-Ambassadors a little.
However, they now have some assistance with the application and approval process meaning there are now applications flowing through from Ambassador applicants based in the following countries:

 Wales
 Malaysia
 Ghana
 Nigeria
 Philippines
 Venezuela
 Germany
 Indonesia

It seems that we are very likely to be welcoming the following to the initiative:
@Pennsif @sireh @perennial @kwakumax @tojukaka @jokossita @francispalo @michaelcj @jassennessaj – there are also some others that I won’t mention yet as I won’t spoil the surprise of their applications going out for community approval!

The Future Steem-Ambassadors – Let’s find the next batch!!

The new applications create further geographical coverage and I am personally very pleased to see the coverage extended to Venezuela and Philippines where Steemit is making a significant economic and humanitarian difference.

So the consolidated geo-coverage should look something like this at the end of the current batch of applications:

This is great but look at all that white space?!

For me I’m thinking just off the top of my head about all the people I have come across in other countries and wondering how they might be able to help- by considering:

1. Do they personally want to become a Steem-Ambassador?
2. Do they know others in their locality or network who have the right attributes to be a Steem-Ambassador?

Here are some basic thoughts by country:

Ireland

@eroche is giving some thought to this and will mention at the next Dublin meet up

China

It was a pleasure to meet @justyy at the London Cryptocurrency Show – I am sure as a Witness – he has some great connections of people actively promoting Steemit in China. Let’s talk?

Romania

I have been talking to both @alexdory and @guyfawkes4-20. I think we are close to getting an application from Romania.

India

I came across @firepower last month– what a great Steem promoter. What a massive country – to currently have no Steem Ambassador representative!

France & Spain

@frenchlondoner and @flamingirl have been popular in their respective community/networks whilst using promo-steem tag for international meet-ups. We currently have no coverage in this Steem-Ambassador programme in France or Spain!

International Friends from London CryptoCurrency Show

@exyle @roelandp @howo @fredrikaa @techslut @wehmoen @elear @dunsky @good-karma @roxane we currently have no Steem-Ambassadors in Netherlands, Norway, France, Belgium, Russia, Israel or Italy! Perhaps you know of those who have the qualities of the Steem-Ambassador and are passionate promoters of Steemit and the Steem Blockchain.

Who do you know in Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil or any other country for that matter, who show great Ambassador qualities?

I’ve been talking on discord with great promoters in Greece and Australia – it just starts with a simple conversation celebrating the great promotional work I see from curation. It's great to connect and find those with passion for promoting the platform. Let’s start more conversations.
