Greetings Steemians...yesterday I made a post in which I called on all Imo residents to come out enmasse let's reason together and come up with ways to set Imo state aflame with STEEM on that D-day being March 17th, 2018. The responses have been quite awesome with a whatsaap room created to that effect. This whatsaap room will serve as our temporary online meeting point until we come face to face on Monday.

Preparations are already at advance stage. Just this morning, I received 1000 copies of flyers that would be distributed within Owerri City and her surrounding higher institutions. Why we decided to share flyers is to be able to onboard new people with no prior knowledge of Steemit. To us in @euronation community, meetups should not be 100% an assemblage of seasoned Steemians, otherwise they are better called summits or conferences.

Meetup should be a great opportunity for struggling members to ask questions and have them answered; opportunity to meet different community leaders and socialize with them, to iron out issues and chart a way forwards, educate prospective members and get them registered. Those are some of the objectives of this mega meetup. In the days ahead, topics to be covered by our guests will be communicated to to them.

The Objectives of this mega meetup

• To create a massive awareness about steem blockchain and her steemit social media interface. This is the first major meet up ever to be organized in this state.

• To provide a suitable medium for Steemians of all works of life to interact, exchange ideas and chart a way forwards for steem ecosystem in Nigeria.

• To educate seasoned Steemians on the best way to approach this program and have good chance of succeeding and help sort out any issues they may have while also introducing them to many programs that are built on steem blockchain which they may not have been aware of.

• To onboard new members with no prior experience of Steemit program and help set up STEEMIT OWERRI community.

This event is taking place in a state where there is complete lack of interest or zero awareness on Steemit program. It is entirely different from holding meetups in places where there are existing burgeoning communities that can contribute resources towards holding an event. All expenses so far made are from @euronation community account, my own earnings and 10 Steem donation from @adoore-eu.
