STEEMIT/SOCIAL MEDIA HANGOUT

Good day steemians, For some time now i haven’t really been active on this steemit platform and its due to some baby projects I am nurturing along side with some friends in taking baby steps. I am glad to be back and would like to share and invite you to be part of this projects.

It is no news that the world is evolving with new technologies and innovation daily, cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology is the order of the day, we hear people talking about it more often now than ever. And it is been accepted gradually.

The 2016 ponzi scam scheme MMM had driven people even farther than they were before and we see people not wanting to have anything to do with social media for profit platforms. Sadly, the youths aren’t left out on this. The heartbreak of the MMM scheme still lingers in their minds and the marks of the effect can be seen even till date.

As our minds are enlightened we get to know more about this technological advancementst however this growth doesn’t cut across to a large number of persons (the discourage and the unaware-d). It is my vision to breach the gap between the learned and the unlearned in regards to Blockchain technology, Cryptocurrency, social media for profit making and digital marketing. This drive has led to the birth of a beautiful bi-monthly project “SOCIAL MEDIA HANGOUT”.

Social media hangout is an event which brings together people who are enthusiastic about • Digital marketing • Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology • Search engine optimization (SEO) • Search engine marketing (SEM) • Social media optimization •Social media ad creation and campaign • Social media for profiting • Branding and other social media skills and tools. With this tools it is the vision of all involved in this project to equip the unequipped and help them see the need to be part of the evolving world before it becomes late and being left behind.

The second edition of the Social Media Hangout was held on the 5th - 6th of May, 2018, at the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara. With attendance from various part of Nigeria, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Benin, Warri, Sapele, Ughelli and Uyo just to mention a few.

Facilitators were on point to dish out valid information on the topics treated. John Ifiok spoke extensively on the blockchain technology session and was able to clean out the negative thought of various ponzi scams which had affected the attendee and was able to impact in them a new mindset.

The manner in which @ifioklee broke blockchain into pieces even a 7 year old will understand.

Queen Amadin (the queen of content creation) dished out the basics for content generation, marketing and drive.

Paul McCoy, Co-founder Palmar technologies, facilitated using social media branding to build a profile to get jobs and create a niche in the social media space.

Remi Martins, Co-founder, Palmar technologies spoke extensively on Branding and advertising and converting all this to finance.

Crix fega was on point to expose everyone including facilitators on the Cost per action technology which was new to me by the way and it was worth the while.

@nesis talked on the usefulness and need to combine social media and blockchain technology or cryptocurrency to generate profit.

Attendees were thrilled and so excited to hear about these opportunities they never knew existed and their willingness to be part of the crypto community grew, glued to their seats for 6 hours listening to facilitators dropping mindblowing lectures. We have a number of attendees now on steemit and those awaiting verification.
