Continuing the series of promotional tweets promoting the various Apps that are powered by the #STEEM Blockchain, today it was the turn of the photo sharing app @Steepshot.
As I mentioned recently, a lot of people I speak to still think that it is #Steemit and #STEEM and that's all.
Explaining to them that there are many, many, many Apps that are powered by the #STEEM Blockchain is usually met with total disbelief.
It is this disbelief that I intend to breakdown in the coming few months by educating and promoting the various exciting Apps that are both already available and in development.
This is why I have recently decided to kicked off this part of the #steemtalent campaign.
As the campaign to promote #Steemit and the #STEEM Blockchain continues, I am pleased to share with you the tweet that has just gone out promoting @Steepshot.

I read your retweet about the new "hyperinflation proof" Venezuelan currency.
Recently, I have noticed a lot of SteemIt users from Venezuela commenting on my posts. When I check out their accounts, many are contributing good content to SteemIt.
As someone with more than of an economics background than I and one who is far more familiar with Twitter than I, are there hashtags for different countries on Twitter? If so, there may be a great market of potential SteemIt users in struggling countries.
Let's see what just earning $0.01 on SteemIt is worth in struggling countries:
Venezuela: 2,485.20 Bolivars
Turkey: 0.061 Lira
India: 0.70 Rupees
China: 0.069 Yuan
South Africa: 0.14 Rand
Iran: 421.05 Rial
Pakistan: 1.23 Rupees

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and STEEM could be of great benefit to people in struggling countries. I have always thought of STEEM and SteemIt as a gateway for people to earn and possibly get into other cryptocurrencies.

Hope you are well.
No. Hashtags are generic globally. What you can do however is change your setting on what is trending. As I am in the U.K. I have mine set at U.K. however now again when I want to throw the net out wide I change it to the U.S and then to the World.
This is a very important point you make Mike.
I have tried to get this point across to many people for the last +18 months.
Most people in the U.K. / U.S. would look at some of these #Steemit accounts and think "I wouldn't get out of bed for $1/day blogging".
Try telling that to someone in say Venezuela where a $1/day could be the difference between life and death. Just because we see $1 as possibly loose change, it is a wage to some people who are less fortunate as us.
