Da hast du absolut Recht Martin. Die Gefahr dass man von anderen ausgelacht und für verrückt gehalten wird, dass Steemit funktioniert ist zu 99% hoch. Es ist schwer jemand das alles zu erklären. Ich habe es meinem Schulfreund versucht zu erklären, bin aber gescheitert. Liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass er seit seines Lebens nur bei einer Firma arbeitet und nie seinen Horizont weiter entwickelt hat. Die alte Tradition eben.... Nicht jeder ist bereit für Steemit. Aber deine Freundin nun schon, freue mich drauf und schaue ich gleich mal ihre Post an. LG

I wish I could do the same for my friends. They are eager about this community but not to the point of joining. Hopefully by next year, a few of them would have joined. It's so much better to have your friends witness the beauty (and the learning from some of the quirks) of this community.

Hello @theaustrianguy , I have to say that I envy you and your accomplishment in bringing your girlfriend into a real community that has a social platform that is based on facts , honesty , integrity , and most importantly support for the fellow steemian ( minnow or whale ) that you will not find anywhere else in the social media echo chambers that the majority of the public have become encapsulated in .
Only #steemit will provide a positive atmosphere with people that are actually real ! Not people living in a fantasy #facebook life that they create and shape to fit into the culture that is popular at the time , and if you make one post or comment that doesn't fit that culture you will be shamed bullied and harassed to the point of deactivating your account , or in more serious cases the victim commits suicide .
There are no victims of that kind on #steemit , we police our own community and and do a damn good job of it . I wish I could pull my Wife away from "FAKEBOOK " , shes coming around though and sooner or later when people realize that they can do everything and more on #steemit than fakebook /twitter will ever be able to provide its users .
Most importantly #steemit will provide you with a community of fellow steemians that will guide you through your days problem or give advice on a better way to draft posts , whatever it may be we are here for each other and that is what separates #steemit from the rest .
