Morgan Freeman goes to war with Russia...

It starts with a creepy fairy tale about a dark and stereotyped ex-KGB agent -obsessed with his sworn enemy- waiting for many years, decades, for the right time to strike back to avenge the downfall of the Soviet Union.

But Morgan Freeman's disclamer is very clear: "Imagine this movie script...".

Freeman's tirade clearly resembles a childish outlook on reality, where insanity and evilness are embodied in the form of "dictators" in "authoritarian regimes", which doesn't mean they don't actually exist. Just take a look at Saudi Arabia for the past decades, but of course, US allies can indulge in "good tyranies".

They exist. Propaganda does as well.

It's in its interest that people is talked down in simplistic terms like "the bad guys", which seek to stereotype and regiment human thinking into simple patterns applied to a black and white world. We are ment to believe that people on the other side of the globe is actually radically different from "normal", Western human beings. For example, Muslims have this tendency to blow themselves up for their God, convinced they will go the heaven instantly to enjoy the pleasures of 40 virgin girls. They are dehumanized this way: there must be something inherently different about them, they are not parents, husbands, sons or wifes, they don't want to live in peace.

Would you do that, would you blow yourself up? My answer, dear reader, is yes. Under certain conditions, absolute desperation is one, the lose of everything you own or cherish, your family, friends, culture is another, you would for sure be up to the old blow-myself-up-in-fireballs routine. Nothing really rare here. Of course, there is also the fanatic driven by sheer madness, but that's an exception you can find literally in every society. Believe me, there is a reason behind what appears to be just insanity, mainstream media is not interested in showing you. By now North Korea could be in rubbles, just like Syria -the empire's last attempt at regime change- except there's a real deterrent there, and world public opinion isn't keen on the idea of nuclear confrontation. Crazy Kim wins, again. And yes, North Korea is definitively an "authoritarian regime", but unlike others, it haven't attacked, invaded and destroyed any other country in decades.

But let's go back to Freeman. There's no proof regarding the supposed "Russian hacking", what we have is a long list of news articles by the Washington Post with no other proof but "intelligence sources say/think/are sure of..."

I guees the world still believes in those "intelligence sources", let's talk about historical context in mainstream media and (corporate) journalism... there's none. People is still conviced the Russian hacking is a fact, which is exactly what happens when the lie is repeated a thousand times.
