Prophecies come from God: From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you. Isaiah 48:6

In God, the wise creator of all things, is the knowledge of the future, as the prophet Isaiah explained to us; and this special knowledge, God always manifested to his prophets to make known to the common and simple people his secret designs: "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets" Amos 3:7.
And it is special, because by this knowledge the prophets warn us that God is not a God of the dead like the false idols that do not prophesy, but a God of the living, an invisible and wise God who manifests himself to man through dreams, visions, and wonders.
And so, through the words of the prophet Isaiah, God taught to his people Israel, not to persist in error, and to understand that God is a God full of mercy, who warns men with this spiritual knowledge about the fate of things:
"I foretold the former things long ago,
my mouth announced them I made them known;
then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass" Isaiah 48:3.
Men, due to their persistence in sin, cannot understand the mysteries of wisdom, and their approach to divine and spiritual things can only occur through human reason. That is why the prophets and the wise men, as the Bible teaches, receive special gifts to communicate with God, as received the prophet Daniel: "I have heard that the spirit of the gods is in you and that you have insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom" Daniel 5:14.
That is why God, in order to confirm Isaiah as a prophet, clearly explained to him that prophecies, that hidden knowledge, can only come from God and not from false idols:
"You have heard these things; look at them all.
Will you not admit them?
From now on I will tell you of new things,
of hidden things unknown to you" Isaiah 48:6.
In God, the most perfect being, is the eternity, the beginning and the end of all things:
"Listen to me, Jacob,
Israel, whom I have called:
I am he;
I am the first and I am the last" Isaiah 48:12.
