The seer and the nature of prophecy: I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me. 1 Kings 22:8

The prophet Micaiah as a true seer showed in the First Book of Kings the nature of prophecy by prophesying the future of King Ahab.
King Ahab was king of Israel, and this King for his sinful actions deeply displeased God, to such an extent that he ordered Naboth to be killed, with the complicity of his idolatrous wife Jezebel, to steal his vineyard. In Ahab's heart there was no fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) and his heart was inclined towards sin.
And as was customary at that time, the kings, faced with some important decision, consulted the prophets and seers; and Ahab made an important decision, to invade the Kingdom of Aram. And so the King of Judah advised Ahab: "First seek the counsel of the LORD" 1 Kings 22:5.
But Ahab went to consult prophets who feared the King more than God, and thus, the King received an answer:
"So the king of Israel brought together the prophets—about four hundred men—and asked them, ´Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?´
´Go,´ they answered, ´for the Lord will give it into the king's hand.´" 1 Kings 22:6.
But the King of Judah prudently asked if there was any other prophet, and Ahab replied:
"There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah" 1 Kings 22:8.
Micaiah prophesied truthfully to Ahab, the king would die; Micaiah feared God more than men.
Micaiah prophesied against Ahab, because when a seer is genuine, what he does is enter into communion with the ordering principle of the universe, the beatitude of God, and extract information from it. That is why when a prophecy is true, everything that is done against it only reinforces it, and this truth was what Ahab verified with his death. The prophecies when they are true what they do is to express the logical functioning of the universe.
