Porsche (pronounced in German: [pɔʁʃə] Pronunciation of the title in its original version Listen) is a German sports car manufacturer. The company was founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, then taken over by his son Ferry Porsche. Ferdinand Porsche is the engineer who created the first Volkswagen. The main factories of the manufacturer are located in Leipzig and Zuffenhausen and had more than 17,000 employees in 2012 [1].
Porsche is the most profitable car manufacturer in history. This is chronologically the tenth brand [2] to have joined the Volkswagen AG Group [3]. In 2016, its global sales amounted to more than 237,000 vehicles, up from 2015.
