I havent experienced the drain. Checked most of my trail and they are 95% and above. I do know trail agent is not working so i suspended my voting for now.
Really dont know why the drain happened.

Yeah I'm not sure what happened there at all, and @xeroc seems to be on holiday so all I can really do is stop my own votes and recommend people unfollow me. It just suddenly started following all of my votes, starting at 5 day old content :o/

It's probably releated to the update to steemd 0.14.1 which I did only few hours before this post ... I will investigate and see what needs to be changed. I know that streemian can currently create curation-"loops" but they weren't much of a problem because you can't vote for the same posts multiple times .. apparently, something has changed in how steemd presents stuff in the API. I know that the devs make API breaking changes any time without further notice :(

Aah okay that would explain the behaviour , I hope theres an less processor intensive way to work around that then the solution I'm picturing. Damn protocol changes :o/
I've been watching the witness and miner channels for a while now and hearing about these sorts of issues are why I'm not even attempting to mine or go for witness just yet..
Something that may ease the issue a little - make followers/followees more transparent so users arent accidentally creating loops on their own. The info is basically public anyway if you watch the votes long enough, but I doubt everyone else did that when they made their selections..

Hopefully it gets corrected soon. It is still beta, so im sure as trails start to increase we will see issues arise. We just have to keep an eye on our trails and report the bugs.

I'm so sorry about that, I removed and recreated my operator account so all links have been broken at my end now anyway and people will need to manually re-follow if they want to once voting power has recharged.
It had to happen when I was away from the pc for a change.
