Psalm of the Bible: But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him. Psalm 103:17

The Psalm 103 in the Bible is a psalm of praise to God for his wisdom, mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness), and spiritual love (Agape), gifts with which the Lord rescues the hopeless and the oppressed. This song forms, by its style, together with Psalms 102, 104, and 105, a group of hymns dedicated to praising the glory of God, and by the historical mentions, they were probably all written before the destruction of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah.
The Lord, because of his righteousness, says Psalm 103, is the only redeemer of man; and the Psalm gave as an example the leadership of the prophet Moses who, guided by God, freed the Hebrew people from the oppression of the Pharaoh:
"The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel" Psalm 103:6-7.
The Psalm then continues with a description of God's character and reminds men that his invisible eyes are always on those who fear him because it is logical that like seeks like.
And then the Psalm is dedicated to describing the perfection of the divine love, that love projected towards the whole creation of the Lord, and how this spiritual love was concretized in an alliance with the prophet Moses and all the people of Israel:
"But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments" Psalm 103:17-18.
God, the Psalm teaches, blesses those who fear him and practice the law, and that is why he blessed with kindness the prophets Moses, Samuel, and the kings David and Solomon. The spiritual gift of fear of God is defined as constancy, firmness, devotion, and equanimity; and through this gift, men begin their spiritual relationship with God, because God is wisdom itself, and the fear of God is the beginning of this perfect science.
The Psalm, besides being a song of praise, is a reminder to men of the path they must follow if they want to be sensible people and lead a progressive life free of destructive unforeseen events. God wants to bless men, the Psalm reflects, but for that to happen men must allow themselves to be loved, thus corresponding to the wishes of the creator.
