Neo-Psychedelia is a genre that saw a rise in the 90s. It includes a deverse array of artists from the end of the punk era to the present day. It is characterized by its layering of sounds or instruments to create a surreal and magical atmosphere. Bands used synthesizers, samples and production techniques and effects like reverb and distortion.

They are mainly influenced by 60s Psychedelia which included bands like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Grateful Dead and more. It was the period when everyone was trying to blow people's minds. For the most part, Neo-Psychedelia has been chiefly the domain of alternative and underground bands.

I'm more than delighted to find modern musicians reviving 70s disco, psychedelic rock, soul and shoegaze. This playlist will refresh a few memories of yours, make you smile, or maybe wince with nostalgia.
