    Getting to do or see something thrilling is more memorable than simply receiving something and looking at it sometimes. After all, you'll have more to speak about, and going out and doing something is more satisfying than merely getting something.
  4. Stress can be reduced by meditation and prayer.
    You don't have to be religious to meditate, and studies suggest that sitting quietly on a daily basis is beneficial to your health. Even if you don't think you have time, try calm, even breathing and emptying your mind the next time you feel like vegging out in front of the TV.
  5. Even if you didn't sleep well, you may persuade your brain that you did.
    Consider how well you slept last night while you take a few deep breaths. You'll feel a little more energised if you can persuade yourself of this. It's called "placebo sleep," but don't use it as an excuse to avoid getting enough rest. That is still required.
  6. Being around by cheerful people makes you happy.
    Do you have a friend that constantly complains and gets no pleasure in anything? Do you remember how you felt after spending time with them? Exactly. Spending time with people who are upbeat and happy will rub off on you and make you feel better. Similarly, don't be that pessimistic pal – be someone else's cheerleader!
    Take a deep breath and try to recall some of these the next time you don't understand why you're feeling a certain way or why someone else is acting in a specific manner. It'll benefit you in the long run and make your life easier.
