Introduction
Some people might live with the belief that traumas only happen to other people, and when it is us going through a bad situation, we try to understand the reasons behind it, for which we must take into account the unquestionable fact that our world is a dynamic place, it is in continuous movement due to the action of the different forces of nature, and this necessarily causes changes that are largely due to simply chance, the result of this is that nothing remains the same indefinitely, and because of this reason, it is fair to say that changes are a constant of life.
Besides the obvious changes in the physical environment, over time there are also changes in people with their psychological state, and in the relationships they have with their own environment and with other members of their social circles, thinking that things will remain the same throughout life is absurd.
These continuous changes can facilitate the existence of a multitude of events and the probability that any of them may negatively affect us is real, unpredictable and certainly unavoidable if there is enough time.
Sometimes, depending on how intense the unexpected event is and how the person handles this, it might end up with the manifestation of a psychological trauma.
I think we have all experienced some level of psychological trauma since childhood. The mere fact we are raised by parents who are flawed and messed up in their ways cause for some trauma during these formative years. As we get younger, life experiences, relationships, children, death...etc, yes it's all trauma. But it's how we deal with it is what is important.

Well no one is perfect, that is a fact, but causing a real trauma requires something more than being raised by people with a lot of flaws.

It is tough to forgot your mistake, when you should have taken the stand and you missed it. But learning from that mistake could help you avoiding more patches on your soul.

@dedicatedguy, Trauma is not something that can be handled quickly. This condition requires patience and self-acceptance. Some need strong social support to help get through it. :)

Sorry for being off topic but how do you get upvotes from steempress-io without posting from a blog?

He's posted from a blog. There is an option in the steempress setting if you don't want your blog URL to be written at the end of your article.

Don't worry for the off topic mate. I am posting from a blog, just as @conficker said in the other comment, in fact you can check in the URL that it is not a normal URL, but one created by steempress.

In which category do psychological traumas fall in DSM V? Is it Trauma and Stress-Related Disorders? It seems like you were trying to slowly introduce your readers into the category or are you have some kind of specific plans in mind?

Yes @conficker I believe that must be.
Yep, I think the best way to approach a subject (not necessarily the entire category) is be having a proper introduction.
Cheers mate.

Very informative post!
For me, these distorted mental representations have led to unconscious habits/behaviors/patterns that I have only recently become aware of in psychotherapy. It's amazing how much inner work can be done to free up someone's mind to discover more peace, happiness, and groundedness.
