Why Is It So Difficult To Change?

in psychology •  7 years ago

there is no right or wrong, only choices, and paths...

People rarely change, we evolve from the foundation we are.
Major change takes things like tragedy and unexpected life altering events, other than that, we almost never make hard lefts or hard rights in change, we evolve by making small corrections until we are on the new path.

Most never change overnight, and we are hard on ourselves when we dont change.

But we should really celebrate the evolution progress we made.. I may not have stopped smoking forever, but I now know i can stop for a month. That could evolve you towards 4 months and so on.

today's path takes me over there....

the path of perception and perspective....

think of it like a compass.. if i need to go 1000 km north and my compass is off by just 1 simple degree ... when you have made your 1000 km.. you will be in a differnt place than where you thought you were heading..

small correction... equals change through evolving towards the person you want to be. But at your core, your foundation will always be the same.

some might see it as a bad thing, some may see it as a good thing... it depends on your planning and understanding that simply, if you seek change it will happen... just keep at it...

Life is mostly perception and perspective-
change your perception and perspective and I promise you can not stop change from happening.... making that first move is hard, no matter how small..

more importantly.... do nothing and change will still come... but you will have no control and usually no map (lost) ...

I will change for the moment and evolve for the future.

Just my thoughts, they could evolve as I do ;-)

Kindest regards,
e
