An Introduction – Viewing the World through the Lens of Mental Health

I realized after making my first post that I forgot to do something kind of important… That is, to say “Hello!”. So, I’m taking the time to introduce myself now and hope to get to know many of you in this endeavor. My name is Kevin Duarte, and, for almost a decade now, I’ve been a Social Worker in the field of Mental Health. Prior to that, I did quite a bit with data analysis, though those skills are being geared toward the healthcare field now. I’m a husband, a father, a gamer (though not as much as I’d like to be anymore) and someone who believes in the importance of relationships between people.

Honestly, I don’t know exactly what I’ll be putting my on Steemit board yet. I do, however, have a mission. And that is to “Help people connect”. Whether that be through (hopefully!) useful information like my actual initial post on providing advice to parents who suspect their kids may have some challenges, to other somewhat flushed out ideas like the Psychology of Gaming or even my thoughts on cryptocurrency and how to some tenants of Sociology may be useful in the market - I guess we’ll find out together.
