What preparing for psychology exam has taught me

I'm currently preparing for my exam in psychology which is tomorrow so you could say that this is one of the finest forms of procrastination. That however is also psychology where you use it as a defence mechanism and try to avoid stressfull situations. The distractions in the late modern society are also endless which makes it that much easier to procrastinate. I guess i just used psychology to avoid studying for my psychology exam.

On a bigger scale psychology has made me realise that i need to workout more. I just came back from a run after reading that mental illnesses such as depression and stress could be avoided by eating healthy and working out. Of course there are multiple aspect to these diseases such as resilience and how you cope with the tasks life hands you. That however is Existential psychotherapy and it teaches you how to deal with certain situations in life and how to get stronger thereof. Satre said that you have find your own essence in life and Yalom said that taking action and thinking about different aspects of your life is a good step towards improving your life.
So i guess it was worthwhile studying for my exam tomorrow.
