I think you're right!

Besides achiving al these things will make them even more valuable!

The things you describe above does bring back some memories of university:

Thanks @jamesbrown !

I remember covering that pyramid briefly back in a high school Health class. Seems logical enough.

James Brown be spittin' that KNAAAWLEEDGE! I just got to add..when it comes to giving it MUST be volunteraliy! It must also be without conditions. Never give or recieve anything with conditions.

Yes, that's an important distinction to point out, and you're absolutely right.

Where you come from, your motivations, means EVERYTHING. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks man. But still a great post without it!

Agreed. Hahaha.

James Brown says JamesBrown.jpg

LOL. Partying every night eventually catches up with even the best of us.

yep:)

The being grateful part is HUGE! I usually write down gratitudes every morning with a few min of meditation following. Haven't been doing it lately and see myself getting annoyed with what I am not getting out of steemit as opposed to what I am. Time to revisit the morning routine!

Yes it is. That's a good routine to get into.

I usually spend about five to ten minutes visualizing all that I'm grateful for at the start of my daily breathing meditation. It seems to set the meditation on the right course and I definitely notice a negative difference if I forget or skip on that part of my meditation for consecutive days.

James Brown, preaching knowledge. Blaawh! :-)

Wow, fantastic post @jamesbrown! I wholeheartedly agree with what you say, and feel like I have been through much of this myself... lifting myself out of that deep dark place to perch on a sunny ledge, with a new appreciation for life and seeing something endearing within myself for the first time. It does make you want to take care of yourself, you're right! Thanks for a very enjoyable read :-)

Strength must come from within for it to last.

Also, thank you and you're welcome :)

Hahaha...I LUV it!!!

@jamesbrown, I am going through some challenging times so it is easy to get down. But I am trying to be grateful for the many blessings that I have experienced. following

Just making the effort to remember the good and to show appreciation for the good will have a positive effect. Positive momentum builds on consistency. You probably won't go from super stressed or depressed to ecstasy in a single day, although it is possible, but it becomes likely if you can keep up the practice for many days/ weeks.

My prayers are with you :)

have faith and respect everybody is key to success in the world

The door is EVERYWHERE and YOU, you are the key!

To the point precise not asking for too much. I liked it thus u get an upvote and a follower. I love funk and I am glad I found @jamesbrown. Cheers!!!

Cheers! Thanks a lot @tamsguitar.

Omg man, this is amazing, you basically put all important points to one short article, I feel that you know what you are talking about, and you stay firmly in living according to your experience, thanks a lot, all the best :)

I wouldn't say all the important points, but a solid foundation.

Thank you and all the best to you.

I am too weak for an exercise especially when there is pain involved.
take Care now.

You can only work with what you've got. There's always SOMETHING you can do to improve your physical health without putting too much at risk.

The main point is to be active enough to maintain vitality.

You take care, as well.

I see your point clearly @jamesbrown Thanks.
What I want to convey is that I can't do exercise because of my medical condition.

I see.

The way that I'll sometimes frame my situation of wanting to make the most out of what I have, my abilities, the conditions of my life, etc. is to imagine the most wonderful, determined, strong-willed spirit of all time dropping into my body to take over the decisions from that point forward.

What would "he" do differently? How would he push this mind and this body to new heights?

I say this with the utmost respect to you, because I don't know what your medical conditions are, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel that you can do SOMETHING that qualifies as exercise, even if it's something really small compared to what most people out there do.

What I'm trying to get at is that there may be more strength and ability there than you give yourself credit for, if only you push yourself a bit harder to find it.

In any case, I pray that your condition is healed, or made more bearable and workable for you if that's not a possibility.

Thanks for your well wishes for me @jamesbrown
My body is pegged not to get any better because of wide array of complications brought about by kidney failure. There are a lot of imbalances that disfigured and disabled me.
But what I can only do is proper nutrition and exercise of the mind.
Any form of physical exercise will just do more harm than good in my situation.

The best we can do is to make the most of what we have.

One thing that I hope I never forget with old age is this feeling I have of what a great privilege and gift it is to be human, to have experienced the memories that I cherish and to have this chance to connect with other people and myself, for that matter.

Keep up the good fight, my friend :)

Thank you Sir.
I am also grateful to have witnessed this world and had met my family and strangers, and the beauty from all of itt despite what I've got from this world is somewhat much less than any other.
Enjoy the weekend.

Feeling better after reading this!! Great content... Keep On Steemin On!!

That's good to hear. Thank you, I will :)

I applause your self-enhancing points on self-respect, being grateful, and appreciation about all things. It all boils to having some peace and ultimately, that feeling which is happiness.

Exactly!

Having peace of mind is the key to being psychologically healthy and, perhaps more importantly, to being the pillar of strength for others in search of peace. Because the outer is a reflection of the inner, EVERY choice and action becomes more positive and health/ life promoting.

Yes, true! If you're ever in L.A., be sure to visit Agape in Culver City. It's very you.

And that's one of my favorite songs of all time, too.

Never heard of it, but I'll take your word for it. I'll try to remember your suggestion the next time I visit L.A.

Thank you :)

Some good tips here Mr Brown! I think one more i would add is to foster true friends and nurture family relationships. I believe nothing gives more happiness then having community and family.

thanks!

Lovely and beautifully detailed post man,
Am I the only one that can't read self-esteem or just esteem without actually thinking about Steem or steemit? I'm ruined...

You're not ruined. You're a steem-a-holic.
