Have you ever calculated how much time we spend on critiquing ourselves? How much energy do we waste on worrying about other people’s opinions? I know I have. It does take a while to recognize all the patterns and scripts, through therapy or on your own. By allowing yourself to actually listen to the hidden messages, analyzing where they came from, who told you how to behave in each separate situation, and why do you still use it, especially when the situation you are trying to resolve only gets worse? Give yourself time and patience , support and acceptance, and make a new choice- through thinking and feeling at the same time, through learning new things from other people, through looking around your and finding your own new path.
