One day, my Master was invited to have a meal with one of the wealthier families in the village. Upon arriving at the mansion, he was given a tour of the huge compound, and was brought to the dining table where he was joined by the whole family.
My Master thanked the host for the invitation, and the host thanked my Master for his presence. Soon after they were sitted, the dining table was slowly decorated by the most exotic dishes, from the four different ends of the world. My Master could recognize some of the dishes, but the rest were so rare that the host had to describe for him, which the origin stories he enjoyed listening to.
Then, the main dish was brought out, and the host mentioned that it was the rarest king abalone in the world, cooked by only the best chefs he brought in from another kingdom. My Master marveled at the dish, as he too, agreed on how splendid it looked.
True to its reputation, the moment the king abalone were placed on the table, the whole family went after it. They were literally fighting over as many pieces they could get. The host was embarrassed by this display of barbaric behavior, and yet, as he voiced out, the rest of the families members just ignored him, as they quickly chew down the exotic dish.
There were even arguments as they shove each other to get second and third helpings. They did not mind that the gravy had messed up their clothing. The king abalone was just too important to them.
Observing all these, my Master spoke up,
"I see that all of you really enjoying that particular dish. It must be really, really good."
The family members nodded as they continued wolfing down the dish. As they were chewing ferociously, my Master asked one of the youngest family members, the host's daughter,
"Can you spit that out please?"
The girl, probably no more than ten, was curious at the request. She did as my Master said, despite her seeing the relevancy. She spat the half-chewed abalone onto her plate.
"Good, young girl. Now, can you put it back in your mouth and continue eating?"
"Eeeeew! That's gross! I'm not going to do that! Yuck!"
My Master nodded and smiled.
"Oh, is it? Funnily just a few moments ago, you were fighting over the dish. And you even hurriedly put them in your mouth. Yet, now, after spitting the same food out, even as it's covered in your own saliva, you don't find its edible anymore?"
How about you? Would you have eaten your favourite food after it has been spat out from your own mouth?

Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?
Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD5, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:
- Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
- Upvote (like) other people contents
- Comment on other people's posts
- Have discussions, share opinions etc!
Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!
The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!
Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome
@maverickfoo....Your posts are always enticing and interesting. I love the way you made use of food to explain something meaningful. I will adopt a point which will set a great lesson to every one of us. From the part

Lesson learnt:We observed that after the lady grinded the delicious meal with her teeth and soften it with the water produced from her tongue , she was told to pour to the plate and eat again which looks irritating to the lady and I also believe none of us will love to eat that again.
The fact is that "the delicious meal are your loved ones (family and friends). They look delicious because you love them. The question is are you really ready to love them again as you loved them before? That's why the question arose from the master saying your delicious food isn't edible again?
In life, we have to love sincerely. Let us forget what has happened between our loved ones in the past. Let's focus on the present and big the best out of them after their downfall. I hope we all learn from this.

Oh. Before putting the food in the mouth, we would fight for it. We would marvel at it's look. We would take in a huge sniff. But the same food, after chewing for a few times, and spitting it out, doesn't look that enticing anymore, eh?
