Heuristic

Almost every one of us heard or used the phrase "by trial and error" directly, without thinking that this heuristic method is implied by this trivial expression, densely populated.

In fact, heuristics itself is a method, an instrument of cognition and a search for a solution. The scientific definition is the following: heuristic methods are logical methods and methodological rules of scientific research and inventive creativity that can lead to a goal in the conditions of incompleteness of the initial information and the lack of a clear program for managing the process of solving problems.

Brainstorming is a method of solving a problem by introducing a procedure for group creative thinking. Developed and described by a US psychologist A. Osborn. He brought out the rule that in any company there are people who better generate ideas, but are not inclined to analyze, and vice versa - there are people who better comprehend the proposed solution better, but are not able to develop it on their own. This observation is based on the method of brainstorming - to solve the task posed a huge number of possible options, without selecting good and bad. Later, based on the critical approach, the developed solutions are carefully analyzed and evaluated, after which the most original and viable incarnate life. Schematically, the work of the method can be described as follows: selection of participants - posing the problem - storming (working out a solution) - analysis of the received material. It would seem that it can be simpler, but it is this simplicity that is both a plus and a minus of this method. In addition to the call to be original and go beyond the usual way of thinking, there are no precise methodological instructions in the practice of brainstorming.
