I liked the analogy with cigarette butts.. Unfortunately for many people in a relationship with a narcissist it's very hard to "identify" when the relationship is over and even harder to move on when they wish to do it. Because narcissists are master manipulators , they know how to manipulate their "partner" into giving them another chance and they know when to play the victimhood card
