Daily illustrated wisdom - Different does not mean wrong. Different should not mean war.

When I was dancing on the steps to the oldest Spaniard church in Guatemala, I realized how unimportant our wars and fights are.

There was a day when Spaniards were fighting the Mayans, trying to conquer it all. They built churches and destroyed a lot of Mayans' temples.

Nowadays, I have visited both churches and temples. I didn't see the reason why those different buildings could not stand together without shedding so much blood.

The church was beautiful and inspiring. The temples were stunning. Two completely contrasting but on the same time fulfilling pieces of human brilliance now makes Guatemala such a splendid country.

So why couldn't Spaniards come and build their church, while Mayans were praying to their Gods in the temples? Human instinct maybe, I don't know...

All I know is that the wars and fights are so irrelevant for the future. The people will only see what's beautiful left behind and they will simply condemn all the shed blood. However, they will keep fighting those new, "different" wars.

We are so fast to condemn when we know all the facts. However, we are yet to learn to accept the fact that a church and a temple can stand together as one.

I was dancing on those steps, looking at this old and deserted church. So many people had to die in order to build it. Was it worth it? I think not.

The majority of people think differently, though. If they were with me, there would have bene no need to fight anymore.

We could dance on the steps covered with joy, but not blood.

Everything dies one day, but I would like to die in peace with all the wars and fights on hold... forever.

Thanks for sharing this positive message. It put a smile on my face :-)

Thank you for reading @playfulfoodie I am so happy that I could make you smile!

Great post. Thank you for sharing! We can only hope but I believe that our species is on a path that ultimately will result in lessons being learned. Even if it seems to take way to long. Eventually the people will have more of a say than they do now... It's the only way I see society moving away from demise. We as a people don't want war, generally speaking of course... The vast majority of us as you say would like to die in peace with all the wars and fights on hold... forever :)

Yeah, I would like to see it happening as well @maximdraws
However, I think it might be a little too hard to have peace in the whole world. We are really lousy at learning our lessons lol. The best thing, for now, is to spread the peace around our own environment and try to make those little changes... the ones we can actually make.
Thank you for your great insight!

I would agree if we weren't living in the 21st century. Thankfully more and more people are joining the internet and self-educating themselves. With China having plans to move over 1 billion people onto the web by the end of this year we can only hope it will demonstrate that people want more positive change. As you said spread the peace in our own environment and do what you can empower yourself to do! :)

Oh yeah, I hope only time will show! I have my fingers crossed for the change to be positive!

You got it, same here man!

To meet together in harmony seems symbolic. Religions fight over souls, not over physical blood. At some point we have to wonder why the Gods fight using our blood as the price.

Sometimes I think that it is not God, but we ourselves who do that. I just think that God lets us do whatever we want and we choose what we see now... :)
Thanks for your thoughts!

Like gives us freewill? That's what my husband says too. I don't know about the freewill thing. I don't think we get as much of it as we would like to believe. I see it exist but not on the level of ever action.

It is a very complicated topic to talk about over an internet... or even in real life.
In my opinion, we are all part of the fate and everything is already decided. That being said, if we simply choose not to act when we can, we will only be punished.
So I am living as if I had a free will, believing that whatever I do, I will end up right where I have to according to fate, Gods, or any other higher material.

Oh no! I choose not to act out of fear of messing up something on a cosmic level. Like if I stay neutral then all is in place. But I will think over you viewpoint as it's seems reassuring that you can confidently say we are suppose to take an action in our fate.

Yeah, think about it. You might like it! I doubt that we have enough power to mess all the universe, so you should feel free to act!
Just my point of view, though. I don't know the truth just yet...

It is hard to talk about openly over the internet but stil important topics to discuss on some level. Enjoy your cosmic journey!

Yeah, but I meant that these kind of topics are very complex and it is hard to express my thoughts correctly.
Enjoy yours journey as well!

It was a nice posting...

Thank you @bontonstory

I would agree with you.

Thank you!
