I expected a lot from this film, because I love movies about maniacs, killers, especially if the picture is based on a true story.
But this film seemed empty to me, despite all the vile and repulsive entourage. I did not see the idea, the tragedy of a person living in this world and forced to create these terrible things, turned out to be blurred and slurred. The film does not take the depth and special meaning, here comes to the fore the soiled picture, faded colors, grotesque characters and vile footage of sex and murder. All that excites the viewer, but distracts him from the main idea, which is not at all.

After I left the movie, I said pretty much the same thing. It felt empty. But when I started to write my review, it began to make more sense as commentary about different themes from nowadays, like immigration, prejudice and misogyny. It's between the lines, I Believe. Nothing exceptional, for sure, but it felt less empty to me.
But I totally understand your feeling.
(PS: sorry for the bad english. A lot of time without practice)

Do not apologize for the english language, everything is cool!)
Probably you are right. Perhaps I should not relate to this picture so critically and the director left in it the hidden meaning that you mentioned. If this is true, then the film will certainly become more complete and attractive.
