Mistakes Can Not be avoided. The mistake is the punishment. Do not punish yourself for mistakes

PTSD is not something that only affects military personnel in combat. PTSD can affect anyone who has been through a traumatic event.
Hello Steemit
My Name is Hurt Porter III
I am a Veteran who served Navy/Marine Corps as an 8404 Corpsman or combat medic for the rest of you.
I have lived with PTSD and have learned to thrive in spite of it. I am committed to sharing my life with you so that you know you are not alone
Enjoy

In the past, I would punish myself for making a mistake. I was trained as a child all the way up into adult hood to punish myself after I made a mistake. I now realize that punishing myself is not necessary. The mistake I made is the punishment. It is up to me to develop myself and learn from that mistake. It is my responsibility to love myself and nurture myself when I mess up.
Be safe
it only gets better from here
Peace
