PUBG has competition with Fortnite Battle Royale!

oh, now this is VERY interesting!

this was another game i was considering transitioning to next with the ultimate to have a squad of me, ella and @dayleeo once we had the right technology to play and stream all together. i think it could be fun. anyway, today, massive upset potentially to the whole battle royale scene, especially if the network code is solid and enjoyable with 100 people playing it. i realise that a lot of people will find it maybe a little bit 'cartoony' and 'kiddy' but i'm loving the fact that other players are entering the race.

let me be clear, battle royale is where all games are gonna go too regarding live streaming, big, open player maps, completely new lan party and casting potential, big scale, lots of teams, complete departure away from 4/5 players against each other like some of the bigger leagues you might know of. at the moment the race is on to have that big title because the e-sports arena is dying to transition some of that sport broadcasting money into gaming and the hardware makers could'nt be more happy as it helps them shift product.

right now battlegrounds (pubg) is not e-sports ready, they freely admit that it's very early days, an alpha if you like and they are struggling to keep up with the requirements by the community to deliver a good quality game to a massive audience that have taken the game under their wings. personally i think fortnite might be able to steal away a bit of the market share of battle royale games in the short term, i love the idea of building, defenses, weapon making and ultimately the last person alive, gonna make for some interesting team games if they support that -- no reason why they should'nt

now, if i could just afford the monies to get this on the mac. . ..
