After reports about Snapdragon 850, there is a new report which hints at the development of Snapdragon 1000, a chipset specifically designed for laptops. Renowned leakster Roland Quandt claims that Qualcomm will introduce the chip by late 2018 or early 2019.
The chipmaker is also exclusively partnering with ASUS to develop an Always-On laptop running on Windows. Snapdragon 1000 is likely to deliver power comparable to Intel i7-7Y75 which powers premium tablets. The laptop is expected to be unveiled a few months after Snapdragon 1000 is developed.
