"Become so financially free that you forget that it's pay day"

in quote •  7 years ago

I'm trying to get around to analyzing my income and expenses.

I found a tool that looks very promising: firefly-iii. It allows you to keep track of your different accounts, and all the financial flows.

But I want to have a historic view, so I downloaded my bank statements and I'm trying to import those but so far I haven't been completely successful yet.

As soon as I've done that, I will know how much money really need every month and how much I can save or invest.

Hello @slash-es great attitude this is a pretty good step. We have also to organize our finances as if we were a company, it is extremely important to know your numbers. After you see your expenses patterns it is important to question what could be avoidable, it is pretty normal all of us have expenses that are not exactly the best use of our money for a certain moment, you can do that maybe by budgeting each area. By doing so I reduced my expenses eating out by 70%. One last thing, don't get so fixed on the tool, it is just important you to start even with paper and pen. Thank you very much for the visit, I will be following you!
