If you have read it till the end, you will see that at least one of the parents needs to be a legal resident of Germany for 8 years. I came 2013, my wife 2015, so it is not the case for our son. :)

Yes, like any other resident. But on that, on another post, as I would like to pay less taxes and give up the Kindergeld. :)
