What looks like a simple piece of wood between the concrete is actually a sleeper, these are used in the rail lines to maintain the parallelism between the rails, what goes in between, this sleeper is from the Great Táchira Railway, which still it is conserved, it still has one of the nails which can be appreciated, for this piece of wood the railroad went daily for more than 40 years bringing modernity to the state, for the first car arrived, the first grand piano, arrived dreams and hopes among many other things, witnessed a glorious and prosperous past but in 1955 this sleeper began a deep dream when the railroad stopped traveling and today is part of the historical heritage of the Tachira state in Venezuela
