Time to stop wasting time

As another political campaign season rolls along with the usual allegations of corruption and abuse, I ask you to question the merits of this process. So much time, money, and energy is being dumped into politics that it boggles the mind. And for what? Politics isn't problem-solving. It isn't cooperation. It isn't community. It isn't civilization. It is an artificial zero-sum game that engenders more animosity with each cycle. There so much partisan hatred because the political system artificially divides people to pit them against one another in a winner-take-all process. One party inevitably trespasses against the other for a term of years. This fuels resentment, and when the next cycle comes along, it all ratchets up another notch.

Can't you see how the impeachment of Trump has been built entirely on political grandstanding rather than principle? Don't you see how the "deep state" of unelected bureaucrats and agencies plods along no matter what? Haven't you noticed that the USA has been at war for all of our lives without any declarations of war? While the left and right bicker back and forth, an unending stream of new legislation is poured down our throats. We are drowning in red tape, and every day, new "crimes" are invented out of thin air to justify an increased police state.

I don't call for armed revolution, though. History shows an outcome favoring liberty is unlikely. What we need is rampant disobedience to bad laws. This may require shooting people who seek to enforce those bad laws, but that isn't the goal. The goal is to live free in spite of the State and avoid their enforcers wherever possible. Cryptocurrency allows us to escape the government-rigged economy. The gray market allows commerce in tandem with it while remaining underground. The black market can even be useful. Playing their game has been a losing proposition, so it is time to seek alternatives.
