You still remember me?

in rambling •  7 years ago

I have been pretty quiet the last week and in the world of crypto it feels like I have not been here forever.

To my suprise I did not miss steemit as much as I thought I would.

I have rented out a large amount of my steempower and threw on the steemvoter and let the magic of bots take over.

Well...that is not really the purpose of steemit, right?

Right!

So...how to continue now? Posting everyday? Back to the grind?

Those are good questions, I am happy you asked that!

I dunno, actually.

Today is the first day I felt I want to write something. Anything will do to be honest. I have nothing really to say. But I am just noticing now that I enjoy forming sentences somebody else can understand also.

Well and sometimes I dont enjoy it at all.

So a new look....nice.

Looks ok, I guess....nothing to spectacular but a bit better as the old one. I was hoping for a more practical update. Like a better tag search or user search but that is ok. I can wait.

The steem price seems to be resistance to good news but BTC was on a rampage and by the looks of it he might continue with that and sucking the blood out of our beloved alt coins.

As everything in crypto moves rather fast, it feels like steem is loosing value forever, which does not feel good actually. But we are strong we HODL. 10$ steem incoming. As long as we say it, it will come true....who knows....I sure hope so and I hope BTC is not 100k by then.

lol I also hope with you as well that it dont jump to 100k cause of its current movement, every possibility it might hit 10k by the end of this year or early next year

My money is on next year but who knows :-)

oh! Okay cool

Glad that you are back! I did also only one post the past week and will try to regain my writing momentum as I feel I've lost it.

Regarding the future of Steemit, who knows? BTC, maybe it will hit 100k USD in 3-4 years or maybe never.

That is half the fun right?

Yes, I feel I have lost my momentum also. It started by struggling with responding and just went downhill from there

I will start a challenge to motivate minnows to post daily for 30 days on the month of November. Let's see if I can stick to it.

Hi @flipstar, we may be fighting a war in Steemit that we will have to fight in the future, and that is the war against AI/bots :p And if we can't win here then I worry about the future of humanity...

I think to treat cryptocurrency as an investment invites the same issues I see in all forms of investment (believe me, I have invested in art, gold, silver, stamps, and now cryptocurrency too), but to treat blockchain as a way to address the imbalance created by an overly centralized financial system - the possibility is endless!

And even if you are not excited about it, I'd still be interested to know why. This is not the place for conformity and suppression of knowledge/power, and everyone's voice means something here :)

hmm....maybe my text comes of more negativ than I intended.

I am a firm believer in crypto and to say it is only as an investment or a store of value is like saying the internet is a fancy telephone.

And I am super excited what the future will hold in store for us.

You can find a bit more about my view on that here

Thanks for pointing me to your earlier posts, it certainly helped to provide a bit more context to your comments. My attitude to investing has always been to invest an amount that you can lose without losing sleep over (sounds a bit like what a casual gambler would do), and actually I prefer to invest in health, knowledge and people because the return on investment is much greater than anything else you can get here.

I think one of the measures of an entrepreneur is if they are able to start over again and get back to the top even after losing everything. Probably one of the reason why I gave away the 0.257 SBD that took over a week to accumulate (I don't upvote myself as much as I probably could) to try and pay it forward, and by the time I did that I had already built up to many times that amount. Maybe the fact I was prepared to give away all I had saved up and start over again made me feel like I could achieve a lot here. What would all the wealth and power in the world if you end up on your death bed not having spent a single cent of it?

Yes...that is a good attiude actually towards investing.

But I did totally not do that here :-)

I would survive and all but I would be very sad if everything would go to zero :-)

With paying it forward that is pretty nice of you and I like that. I am trying to that with my workaway.

I will never forget you lol.

And yes, Steemit need more news, changes so Steem price can grow.

thx my friend :-)

Not forgotten! Sometimes life happens, post when you feel like it and the mood strikes you. Hope all is going well and who knows maybe one day steem will be $10 :)

I would be a bit disapointed tbh I was in the first 10 ;-)

I am sure it will...one day

Speak of the Devil hehe 😂Glad to see you back my friend ! I understand that you needed a little break from here, it was insanely frustrating to use Steemit there for a while when it was constantly crashing.

Let's cross our fingers for better times and a higher Steem price :)

fingers crossed :-)

I am not sure how much I will throw myself back here for now, but I dont want to post nothing as long as my steempower is "gone" also, so some engagment is in order :-)

Also I enjoy it here, if it works

I think just going with the flow is the best. Once Steeming become forced it's not fun

you, good sir, are absolutly right there.

schön mal wieder zu lesen von dir.....😀

gleichfalls :-)

ich muss später mal deine Bilder bewundern

vielen Dank mein lieber....

Resteemed :-)

dank dir mein freund :)

Hey my steemit brother! Good to see a post from you! Platform seems to working much better now. What a pain that was. I spent much less time on steemit for that reason as well.

I've been following the crypto markets now that I'm a "steemian". compared to my stocks, bonds, commodities. The considered "normal" volatility of this stuff is mind boggling.

Hope you had a restful break from here and are doing well. Have a great day! -Dan

He, How you doing?

Yes it took some fun out of it for sure

I still feel kind of "out of steam" but trying to get back at it.

1st one is the best one!!
its too good!!

Honesty always comes in handy. The advantage of steam is

To me i believe in crypto,it is better you join the moving train or you become a dejected at last.

Now financial institute are joining the crypto world, because they fore see the bright future in it. Most countries trying to stop it citizen from using it can not stop the free flow of it. Day by day we have different altcoin emerging from the existing ones.

Up cryptocurrency at bitcoin keep sky rocketing

glad to have you back, I really enjoy your rambling, steem to $10 at the end of this year, then I could travel more places... hehe.

would be pretty nice right? :-)

That would be AWESOME!

Hello @flipstar
I feel your pain in posting everyday. When I was first introduced to steemit, I wrote an outline for topics I'll write on and post. If I had followed that outline, I'll be posting everyday and till the end of this year, the topics will still be surplus. But the problem comes with writer's block and one's life on the offline.

I won't forget you though. You one of those few that have made my journey on steemit memorable. Thank you.

And to bitcoin bullying other altcoins, I believe steem will overcome it's crisis soon. If not this year, next yes I hope.
