The cool down came early so day two of fencing was a little less productive. The temp was supposed to get to 35 before dropping but it never got past ten.

Since we were out there we decided to give it a try. We only had 6 holes to drill.

We took the weed burner and thawed out the area we were drilling then we would drill down till we needed to do it all over again. We figured out that the frost line is at least 21/2 feet deep not just a couple of inches like we were thinking yesterday.

We did get 3 posts in and a little bit of work done, but the -30 wind chills slowed us down considerably.

We lit the propane water heater for the tank and dropped some hay up near the barn where everyone was hanging out.

Looks like the temps are going to stay quite cold all week. We are hoping the new water heater we hooked up will keep us from having to go out and break ice every night.
