Hey rap-philians,
I know it is not Monday yet, but I just wanted to share this song, plus tomorrow I'll be very busy. For this edition of #rapsongmonday, a song with a content that lies outside of the mainstream of rap. Aesop Rock proves yet again that rap is not all necessarily all about guns, money and sex. I personally like rap-conscience, but in this case, this rap is even more special. I think of it as Aesop Rock's tribute to his pet cat, Kirby. "Kirby" is part of his seventh album The Impossible Kid. Other than describing his cat, he also mentions how having pets can be good for you and your health. If you liked this song and you have the time, I would recommend you to hear to the whole album, I think it is great.
What kind of rap do you like best? Who is your favorite rapper? Feel free to share and contribute to #rapsongmonday.
Best,
