I really wish there was a delay period on Uber ratings.
Like, both sides have X amount of time to issue a rating, and the ratings don't become known and factored in until after X has expired.
(And maybe you can randomize when exactly the rating factors in too, just for good measure, if we want to make it a little cloudy who gave you what rating.)
Right now I had a driver who was a total 2, or maybe 3 at best. Cracked windshield, wasp in the car, and he let us off in the middle of the road.
It's hard to be much worse than that, within the confines of a short Uber ride.
Also he said he knows a lot about New Orleans, and I asked what we could do there, and he said "well, they have that Mardi Gras".

But I gave him 5 stars because I wanted him to give me 5 stars too.
It hurts my soul, to not do dignity to the rating process. But I recognize that the system is flawed, and I'm just playing the game.
Lemme get this straight: you want the rating system to be delayed so the driver doesn't know how many stars you gave him. Plus, you want it in a way where the driver can't tell who gave which rating

You know listening to Elon Musk, maybe all this Uber stuff will be old news within the next few years, self-driving cars might be also self-employed, working for crypto, and they wont have feelings you can hurt by rating them poorly. :)

Pretty wild to think about. I'd love to own a car let it run around collecting revenue
But then.. no shortage of other people doing the same, and then a race to the bottom.. maybe the winners are good mechanics who can fix their own cars and keep them running well?
And obv it'll be amazing for consumers, where an Uber ride will be pretty close to just the cost of gas
