Hello hello! Welcome to another blog of mine. This post is about a new simple Android recorder. My phone did not have a pre-installed call recorder, and I never thought much about it until I need it. In the absence of this feature on my phone, I had to ''Walk down'' to Play-store to look for a simple, and light app that can help me fill the vacuum. I searched and I found. The name of the app is CALL RECORDER. I have talked about apps that have a general name of its function. I don't think it is a very good idea, but I later realized it is to optimize search. There are plenty of apps that have the same name on the play store, but this one caught my attention. I have never seen an app with fewer features like this one before. The owner just created it for its primary purpose with no features to distract. But I think the addition of just one feature would have really made the app great. I will talk about this feature at the end of the review.
With no further ado, I will delve into the review of this Call Recorder.
By launch, the app requires the user to grant some permissions. The permissions are Microphone, Phone and Storage. These are needed to be granted in other for the app to function perfectly. After the permissions are granted, a clear white screen is displayed with this information.
Please Make a Call To Make Me Happy
So what I did is, I made a call to make it happy.I was thinking there will be a button to make the app work well, but it wasn't like that. The app works automatically on every call. The record will start automatically right from the ringing time through the call. I like this because it will help me in situations where I need to record calls. Now by default, all of my calls are recorded and I can just delete anyone I don't need.
I will not include the screenshot of the record list because of the numbers of called. The page include calls I have made, the date, time and min used. These are to ensure there isn't mix-up in calls recorded. There is a mini-player on this app, so there is no need to start looking for recorded calls in files in the mobile storage. I must admit that I like this app and I don't see myself deleting it any time soon. There is also a feature to share record files to social channels.
One proposal
Since the recorder works to record every sound on calls, I think it would be valuable if the owner could add an audio cutter/merge. The audio cutter would help users to remove any part that is not needed in the record. And if the recording is very bad that may need merging, the merger will make it easy to clip back pieces or if the cutting happens in more than one time in the record. The feature would really improve the project. Based on my experiences so far, I think it is an app to use.
Thanks!
Very nice review, you picked a unique product for review, it is not everyday that someone reviews a call recording app.
We look forward to your next contribution.
