Refined Sugar Free Granola

in recipe •  7 years ago

Granola is a good tasty cereal to start the day with. It's mostly made out of oats, nuts, fruit and seeds all baked together with sugar, or in this case honey/maple syrup, until you have crunchy clusters.

Ingredients:

•4 cups of oats
•1 cup chopped nuts (Optional)
•1/2 cup of seeds (Optional)
•4 tbsp coconut oil
•4 heaped tbsp honey or maple
•dried fruit (Optional)
•tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Add all ingredients, except for the dried fruit if using, in a bowl and mix well until all dry ingredients are thoroughly coated. Press the mixture into a baking tray and cook at 150°C for 15 minutes, then mix press back down and cook for another 15 minutes.

Allow to cool and become crunchy, then break apart. If using dried fruit mix it in at this point, then store in an airtight container. It should stay good for about a month, if you can make it last that long!
