Sometimes it's easy to just stick to one thing

I've been trying to improve my cooking skills for a while, and have been looking to tiktok and pinterest for inspiration on what I can make.
For a long time I was just making easy things, things I knew well for my lunch or evening meal. After a while of just eating the same thing over and over, I decided to try make something different to my usual.
I've done this for a while now here on Steemit, like in my post about having cream stew or creamy pastas.

When I'm making a savoury dish that's new to me, I often struggle to take progress pictures for Steem as if there's meat, I'm prioritised with it not burning (I'm quite a novice) and I'm often quite hungry during the process!

Today I marinated some chicken in a "Mediterranean" sauce before cooking it. I found this from the BBC GoodFood website. I don't think it was really Mediterranean tasting? Maybe I didn't put enough of the herbs haha.

I also tried to make Tzatziki, which is a greek dip made up of yoghurt, lemon, cucumber and herbs. Originally I used a Tiktok video as reference, but when I sat down to make this post, the creator had since deleted the video (not sure why). So, I found this recipe for it on the BBC GoodFood website again!.

The above is a picture of the chicken after I cooked it on the frying pan! I like it, and I'm glad I'm slowly growing out of the habit of overcooking my chicken (from fear of not cooking it enough).

Tzatziki I made

Here's a picture of the Tzatziki! Unfortunately I didn't have mint, which was needed but oh well, it still tasted good!

I hope I'm able to improve enough that I don't have to get inspiration from sites for cooking, I'd like to be able to just recall rough recipes enough that I can confidently cook my lunch!

Hope you like it!
