Baked and Fried Pizza
Ingredients
- Pizza dough or Refrigerator Roll Dough.
- Toppings.
- Oil.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500F.
- Heat the pan to 350F and add oil.
- Stretch out the dough to be slightly smaller than the size of your pan and use a fork to poke holes in the areas you want to add toppings.
- Sautee the bottom of the dough until it is stiff and golden brown.
- Remove the dough from the pan and add your toppings.
- Place the uncooked pizza on an ungreased cookie sheet and cook it until the toppings are slightly browned.
Notes:
You'll need to figure out how brown you want your pizza. Cooking at 500F means you'll need to be present and check it often to avoid burning the pizza.
It took me 5 minutes to cook a 5 inch diameter pizza.

Awesome idea frying the crust before baking on the toppings. I was sort of expecting you to deep fry it, however. I bet frying the crust in oil gives it a great crunch. Might try this sometime!
