LIST OF INGREDIENTS:

Skin and juice of 1 medium orange

Skin and juice of 1 clementine

Skin of 1 lime

The flesh of 4 lychees (if possible)

250g of crystallized sugar

5 cloves

3 seeds of cardamom

1 cinnamon stick

2 bay leaves

1 C. a nutmeg coffee

1 vanilla pod split in 2

1-star anise

100ml of red wine

NUMBER OF PERSONS:

4 to 6 people

Preparation:

Prepare the recipe in advance, you only have to add the wine when serving.

  1. Peel orange, clementine and lime - ideally with a vegetable peeler, being careful not to put any seeds in it. Squeeze the fruit to make juice but do not keep the pulp.
  2. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and gently bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes to obtain a medium thick syrup.
  4. Carefully pour the boiling syrup (with the peelings, spices, etc.) into the sterilized jam jar.
Your preparation can be kept for one year!

The suggestion of presentation :

Heat the syrup in a saucepan and add two bottles of rather full-bodied red wine, such as Sicilian Nero d'Avola. Treat yourself!
