Hello Steemians!

My activity here for the past days has been real low and slow because I wasn't feeling too well. The physical stress of my job and the fickle weather might have finally got to me. I had a fever and now I kept sneezing. It's really the "Ber Months" huh?

And since J bought some lemons for me, I decided to create this concoction which I've found to be a real fast remedy for the early signs of colds and cough. It's also very yummy which if you would try to give it to kids then they'll surely drink it up like their favorite chocolate drink.

What You'll Need

Ingredients
  • Lemons
  • Honey
Materials
  • Container (glass jar, plastic container or whatever you prefer)
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

How to Prepare

  1. Wash the lemons properly.
  2. Cut the lemons carefully to avoid squeezing out its juice. Also, cut it in a way to expose the surface of the fruit. It could be cut into cubes or in circles.
  3. Once cut, arrange your cut lemons inside the container to create a layer.
  4. Slowly pour honey into the container to cover the layer of lemons inside.

  1. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the container is full or whatever your preference is. Just make sure that the lemons are thoroughly soaked in honey.
  2. Put it inside a refrigerator to store.

And that's it!

Pretty easy right? After an hour or two in the fridge, just enough for the honey to reach a semi-jelly-like state, you can now use it.

You can scoop a tablespoon of the "jelly" honey and put it in a mug, then use hot water to "melt" it. If the flavor's too sweet for you, you can top it with a lemon slice or two.

And if you want a quick fix, you can scoop a tablespoon (for adults; teaspoon for kids) and drink it up like your typical cough syrup.

It's super easy to make and could last for 2-3 weeks if stored properly.

Have you tried this sweet and sour remedy before? Do you know other homemade remedies? Be sure to share all that in the comments below.

'Til next time!

-K.

Hello @itisokaye! Sinadya mo ba talagang i power-up yung mga posts mo? Or hindi? Kasi nakapower-up, or alam mong nakapower-up ka sa mga posts mo?

Hi @jassennessaj
Sorry pero hindi ko gets. 😅 Yan ba yung rewards na nasa baba kapag nagsusulat ng post or comments? Newbie problems.

So I went and researched further, and I think tama yung pagkakaintidi ko sa question. (Struggle pa minsan sa lingo dito 😅). Parang naset ko ata sya nung umpisa after magbasa-basa. Nabasa ko kasi na mas better raw na 100% power up pag mababa yung price ng Steem. So gora naman ako sa change ng setting. Di ko na ulit na bago. Pero ngayon na medyo may slight know how na and nagbasa ulit, contradictory masyado yung sinasabi nila. Confused nako tuloy kong babagohin ko 'to. 😥

Yes @itisokaye. It seems like you don't know about it. It will be important for you to know that. In our payouts, we are given the chance to choose the payout option.

100% power-up - where 100% of your post payout will be in the form of Steem Power. Which is yung nangyari sa iyo.

50-50% option - 50% of the rewards will be in the form of SBD and 50% will be in the form of Steem power. Yung SBD can be withdrawable directly because its liquid. The thing that I use to use some of my rewards.

Decline payout - i dedecline mo yung payout ng post mo. Which is rare to happen.

Yes better na magpower-up kung mababa yung price ng Steem ;)

Thank you @jassennessaj 😊 Guess I'll try na i-50-50. Para may konting pay-out naman. Ikaw ba? What will you suggest that I do?

I normally use 50-50 option because I need some liquid SBDs to use. Based on SBD to Steem conversion ratio on internal market, okay lang naman din ang conversion niya. Mapapatch up din kung magkano yung power-up SP amount kung i coconvert mo yung SBD to Steem.

Congratulations @itisokaye! You received a personal award!
